More than 150 health care professionals, of different specialties, make up the Medical department. All work together to provide comprehensive, continuous, high quality health care. All our doctors are professionals, and have graduated from accredited universities. Each is also a member of the Syndicate of Doctors in Lebanon. Our priority is Primary Health care which consists of providing medical treatment, disease prevention and health promotion in the context of family, environment and community. When needed, Primary Health doctors refer patients to other specialists for consultation. Services provided by the department include: Medical Consultation (Doctors of all specialties) Curative Services Preventive Services Vaccination (All types) Providing tests such as Pap Smear, Mammography, Stool tests, Lipid profile, Guaic Tests, Bone Mineral Density, for early detection of chronic diseases. Rehabilitative Services to prevent further deterioration of already present chronic diseases. Health Promotion to increase health awareness among people through lectures and intervention programs. Minor Surgeries: Excision of lipoma and sebaceous cysts, ingrown toe nails. Minor Emergency Services such as Ventolin Nebulizer, suturing of laccerations... Nutrition Services (Provided by a professional dietician) In order to keep providing people with good health care, several scientific committees have been organized within the Medical Staff department: Scientific Committee for Continuing Medical Education of Doctors. Scientific Committee for Research and Statistics. Scientific Committee responsible for continuing development of other staff in the Directorate such as nurses and social workers.
