The Department of Radiology operates in two locations. The first is in the main center at Tarik Al Jadidah with all the modalities except for the CT Scan. The second is at the Unesco Square (Habib Abi Shahla) where the CT Scan mobile unit is situated. The department contains the following fully operational modalities: A. Routine X-Ray Machine Performing all routine x-rays up to IVP (Intravenous Pyelography) B. Ultrasound unit Three probes: 3.5 MHz curved for deep abdominal studies. 7.5 MHz linear array for small parts Transvaginal probe which can perform all applicable cases including the musculoskeletal application, and especially of the hips in the neonatal period. C.Mammography Unit Highly specialized unit with the most advanced technology performing on average over 15 exams daily. D. Panoramic Unit This unit along with all its applications includes Cephalometry. E. Bone Mineral Densitometer Using a high quality unit to provide comparable results to those seen in leading centers around the country, but at unrivalled costs. F. Ct Scan A mobile unit with a dry processor and the ability to provide instant films and reporting for urgent cases. All the above modalities are operated, and results interpreted, by a highly qualified and experienced team.
